How do I get there?

Broadway runs from Middletown/Newport line in the North End of the City of Newport all the way down to Washington Square and Thames Street where it ends passing by City Hall (which is a mile from the Middletown/Newport line). There are several ways to get to Broadway:

From Boston and points north on Route 24 South... Follow Route 24 South over Tiverton Bridge and follow signs to Route 114 (also known as West Main Road). Stay on Route 114 south. Follow directions from Bristol, Rhode Island below.

From Bristol, RI across Mount Hope Bridge... Stay on Route 114 driving south through the towns of Portsmouth and Middletown into Newport where it becomes Broadway.

From Providence and points north on I-95 South... Take I-95 South to Route 4 South. From Route 4 South, take the Jamestown Bridge Exit onto Route 138 East. Follow directions from Jamestown Bridge below.

From New York, Connecticut and points south on I-95 North... Take I-95 North to Route 138 East. Follow 138 East to the exit for Jamestown Bridge and Newport. Follow directions from Jamestown Bridge below.

From Jamestown Bridge continue over the Newport Bridge across Narragansett Bay... Take 138 East over the Jamestown Bridge and continue over the Newport Bridge.

  • Take Scenic Newport Exit: Driving down the Newport Bridge stay on the right to take the exit. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right onto Farewell Street. Go straight through the first light. Stay on left at the second light to follow Farewell. At the stop sign keep right onto Thames Street. At the 2nd stop sign turn left into Marlborough Street. Follow Marlborough goign east toward Broadway.
  • Stay on Newport Bridge ramp: Stay left when approaching traffic light right across Newport Grand Jai Alai. Turn left at the light. Follow Admiral Kalbfus Road going east. Turn right at the 2nd traffic light into Broadway.
